Similar to the Silent Hill series, the aforementioned features three endings. There’s plenty of shooting to experience here, as well as, jump scares. The Suffering’s main focus is on the action and scaring the crap out of the player. The gameplay is pretty similar to the likes of Extermination and Alan Wake. After being freed, Torque attempts to fight his way to freedom while confronting his own personal demons, all while attempting to remember what really happened to his family. Shortly after, his arrival in Abbot State Penitentiary on Carnate Island, a sudden earthquake hits the island, resulting in the prison getting attacked by mysterious creatures. A crime that he doesn’t remember committing. The game puts you in the shoes of torque a prisoner sentenced to death for murdering his ex-wife and two children. The Suffering is a blend of survival and psychological horror which will haunt your memory for years. Just make sure to set the affinity for the processor to the lowest when playing this game because the game rarely freezes. I should know, I've wasted nearly a month of my life playing it and makes me wonder why I didn't stay on CoD4, before the series became a victim of its own success. People abusing unbalanced weapons and perks just adds to the frustration. Snipers running around quickscoping, 10th prestige glitching lobbies/modding in general, Commando knifing, and the amount of (literally) 12 year olds on this game is just the tip of the iceberg. But Halo 2 was the flagship multiplayer game for the Xbox console at the time and with the release of the Xbox 360, many new multiplayer games came to the fore, like Gears of War and Call of Duty, which I think effectively split the asshole community up and spread them out over different games.īut MW2 definitely takes the cake when it comes to the worst multiplayer behaviour. Halo 2 was notorious for it (Spent a whole summer playing it) and the game was rife with level boosters, modders at the higher levels of matchmaking, and kids screaming racist abuse down their mics. The whole thing about Halo having the worst online community has slowly died off over recent years.
